The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon Announced

Studio Surgical Scalpels and publisher Starry Dome have announced a story-driven third-person sci-fi shooter, The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon. The game serves as an adaptation of Chinese author Liu Cixin’s book The Wandering Earth. The project will become the official expansion of the original story, approved by Liu Cixin. The project remains under active development with no details about release date or platforms. However, the official Steam page already exists, and players can add the game to their wish list.

The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon takes players to the Moon near the end of the Stop Cycle Era. Near the end of this era, the United Government prepares to use twelve lunar engines to propel the Moon out of Earth’s orbit. The final execution window in the 46th year is known as the “Full-Moon Window”. This final step before Earth’s departure to a new home should be completed without mistakes at all costs. Players receive a critical mission that will determine the fate of two worlds. However, what begins as a routine operation quickly becomes something far greater.
